The headstock spindle is made from alloy steel and precision ground for optimal performance. The design is structurally rigid, ensuring high durability and ease of maintenance. Ram Turret Milling Machines
Ram Turret Milling Machines are designed with precision and durability, featuring induction-hardened and ground X and Y slideways with Turcite B applied on the X slideways and jibs for smooth and efficient operation. The table top is hardened and ground for added stability, while the Chrome Molybdenum alloy steel spindle is hardened and ground for reliable performance. Additionally, the spindle gear, back gear, and clutch gear are all hardened and ground for enhanced durability. The splined quill pinion shaft supports the feed clutch, complemented by three power quill feeds with an auto-stop function. Leadscrews are equipped with PBC-2 hard-wearing phosphor bronze double nuts, and spiral bevel gears ensure smooth lifting screw operation. A coolant tank is integrated into the base for effective cooling during operation.
